MUMBAI: The Mumbai Indians are set to kick off their home game at Wankhede Stadium on March 31, according to The Times of India. A reliable source revealed that MI will play their initial two matches away before returning for their home opener.
On another note, the Gujarat Titans will begin their season on March 25 at their home ground, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. A source mentioned that GT’s domestic players are scheduled to hold a camp in Surat starting Sunday.
The tournament will officially commence on March 22 (Saturday) with an exciting matchup between the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Notably, this marks the first time since the inaugural IPL season in 2008 that KKR and RCB will face off in the tournament’s opening game.
